Intrigue's Chocolate
At Intrigue Chocolates, we have chosen to emphasize the freshness and balance of the French tradition. The ingredients are always natural, and organic whenever possible. Some of the most intriguing truffles are only available seasonally, when we can find produce at one of our local farmers' markets. Keep the truffles cool and eat them fresh, while the flavors and textures are at their peaks.
The Chocolate Truffle
French chocolate truffles - the original - are free of the distraction of the hard shell. Lightly dusted with a premium cocoa powder, the whole morsel fits perfectly into your mouth. The rich flavors unfold as the truffle melts, revealing the natural complexities of the chocolate.
Our truffles contain very little refined sugar and no preservatives or altered fats. They are crafted from dark chocolate, locally produced cream, and natural flavors. This is the reason our truffles are so yummy and delicate. Just unwrap the truffle, pop it into your mouth, and let it melt. And remember to breathe! Store your truffles in the refrigerator and enjoy them within one month of purchase.
Belcolade - the real Belgian chocolate
For most of our convectional base we use Belcolade chocolate, which provides a nice foundation of rich chocolate to compliment the flavors we add. Belcolade sources their chocolate from around the world like most chocolate companies to create their product. Typically we make our truffles and truffle bars using a 70% dark chocolate (but always a 60% or higher dark chocolate).
